Happy Friday all! Julie is back from her East Coast visits - from 40th bdays to 20 year college reunions and a heck of a lot of stops to Barnes & Noble and local bookstores to do some east coast 'How to Be Dateable' book signings. And while Yue was holding down the fort in California, she almost walked out of the movie Materialists...and immediately texted Julie after saying they had to do a debrief. So on that hot 100 degree day in Boston, Julie went and saw it...and had the exact opposite reaction to the movie. She absolutely loved it and thought it perfectly encapsulated all that's wrong with modern dating. We're going to air our live debrief on Sunday as we can't stop talking about the movie (and apparently no one else can either). Does the message drive home the love & connection that's missing in today's dating world? How realistic is it's portrayal of the matchmaking industry? Is it just 'broke man propaganda'? This Is What You Need To Hear Right Now: You are a person, not a commodity

Whatever you felt about Materialists, the one thing we both agreed on is how much the movie honed in on the 'Expectation of Love on Demand' and Amazon effect we talk about in our book.
