This Is What You Need To Hear Right Now: Sometimes, love comes after learning to let go.
We've been guesting on a ton of other podcasts recently (that will air when our book comes out in January). One theme that keeps coming up is letting go. There's a significant distinction between letting go and giving up. Letting go is recognizing what's in your control versus what's not. Letting go is understanding that you can't telepathically make someone text you back, so you may as well stop staring at your phone – and go live your life. Letting go is not trying to force a relationship with someone who said they don't want to commit – and using this information to find someone on the same page as you. Letting go is not tied to a specific situation but staying true to your needs and desires.
So next time a situation arises, ask yourself: Is the outcome in my control? If yes, by all means, seize the moment and do the thing! But if it's not, let it go because life's too short to agonize over things we can't control. We strongly believe what's meant to be will be. And by relinquishing some control, you're putting yourself in the driver's seat to control whatever you can.
❤️ Forward to a friend that also needs to hear this as well.
