❤️ The Expectation of Love On Demand | The Dateable Dish

Hey Dateables,

Happy Wednesday!  The heat wave continues and we've been hard at work, working on some great episodes and content for you all. We have something exciting we're releasing next week. The best part is that it's a free tool so everyone can use it! Stay tuned 😎

We'll both be doing some travel this week (Julie to Italy, Yue to Mexico City). It's been a very busy year between the book and going full speed ahead with Dateable. We're both looking forward to some needed R&R.

We also just wrapped this Finding Your Person cohort. We're so excited for everyone to begin and talk with you all! If you missed registration, don't worry, we have other things in store and will likely open another cohort at the beginning of next year.

This Is What You Need To Hear Right Now: Sometimes You Need To Slow Down To Speed Up

In today’s word, we can get a car, a meal, or even a date at the touch of our fingertips. It’s made us increasingly impatient (ever had an Uber say they are coming in over ten minutes!?!) and this directly impacts our approach to finding love. There's an expectation of Love On Demand, or the instantaenous and effortless connection that we believe we can have whatever we want, whenever we want.

But this is what gets us in trouble: We jump to conclusions too quickly. We discount people because the initial spark isn’t there. We get ahead of ourselves, imaginging a future that hasn't had time to play out. We aassume the worst if they haven't texted back in 10 minutes.

By releasing the expectation of love on demand, you remove the pressure to know immediately and give the space for connections to develop organically. Plus all this go-go-go is not good for our mental health. Sometimes by slowing down a bit, you end up speeding up in the end.

❤️ Forward to a friend that also needs to hear this as well.

What We're Up To This Week

🎧  New Episode Alert! The Expectation of Love On Demand

If this is resonating for you, then do not miss this week's episode. This is also a key part of our upcoming book How To Be Dateable and we want to start laying the foundation of these traps that are getting in our way (because only then can we remove them and finally have the love lives we want!) This episode alone though will give you actionable advice and ideas to start implimenting today. So go take the bus in dating (you'll get it after listening) and listen now if you haven't yet.

Help us get to 1K! (it's been our goal for awhile)
